The builder chat is the main way you shape your project. Type what you want changed — Webster handles structure, design, and code in Develop.
How chat editing works
- Open your project in the builder.
- Type a request in plain language: “Make the hero headline shorter and add a pricing section.”
- Send the message. Webster plans the change and updates the preview when ready.
- Keep chatting to refine. Each meaningful change creates a new Develop revision you can undo.
Good messages
- Specific: “Use warm beige background and larger contact button.”
- Scoped: “Only change the footer — add Instagram link.”
- Iterative: “Good — now translate the hero to German.”
If something breaks in preview, say what you expected and Webster will try to fix the last working state.
Attachments
Use Add files to upload:
- Logos and brand images
- PDF briefs or menus
- Screenshots of sites you like
Tips:
- Prefer clear filenames (
logo.svg,menu.pdf). - Tell Webster how to use each file: “Use logo.svg in the header.”
- Large files may take a moment to process.
Design style
The Design style control nudges overall look (minimal, bold, playful, etc.) without rewriting your whole prompt.
Credits
Chat-driven builds use Webster Credits. Simple edits cost less than full new phases. You always see usage in the builder when credits apply.
