Webster is designed for European expectations: clear data handling, EU-friendly hosting, and rights you can exercise without a law degree.
Three data planes (simple view)
Webster separates data so customer apps stay isolated from the platform:
- Platform plane — your Webster account, billing, project metadata, team invites. Stored in Webster’s EU-operated platform database.
- Develop plane — preview apps, example seed data, chat context for building. Lives in isolated preview storage; not copied to Production automatically.
- Production plane — live visitor data for published apps (form submissions, app users you create). Tenant-isolated and EU-hosted.
Agents and automation only access what each plane allows — preview tools cannot reach Production customer data by default.
Where data is hosted
Core Webster infrastructure targets EU regions (including Scaleway and related managed services in Europe). Exact subprocessors are listed in our privacy policy on the marketing site (Datenschutz).
We do not sell your project content or waitlist data to third parties for advertising.
What we collect for the builder
- Account email and profile you provide
- Project prompts, attachments, and generated code in your workspace
- Usage metrics for credits and reliability
- Technical logs (IP, timestamp) for security — retained minimally
Customer app end-users (your site visitors) are your responsibility under GDPR; Webster provides hosting and tools to help you stay compliant.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal data tied to your Webster account. Contact info@websterai.de or use in-product account deletion when available.
For complaints, EU residents may contact their local supervisory authority.
Secrets and connectors
API keys you store in Environment secrets are encrypted and never written to public Git repos. Connectors (Stripe, email, etc.) use scoped credentials you control.
