Credits & Usage

Public usage rates, free actions, and how Webster Credits expire.

Webster Credits are prepaid usage units for Webster services. They are not cash.

See Pricing for plans and purchasing, and the Terms of Service for the legal framework. The billing dashboard in Account is the source for actual measured consumption.

What is a Webster Credit?

1 Credit = €0.01 of Webster usage.

Usage may consume fractional Credits. The displayed Credit balance may include decimals. The billing dashboard shows the measured amount.

Build usage

AI

AI usage varies depending on:

  • the selected model
  • token, input, and output usage
  • actual provider usage

The billed amount follows actual usage for that generation. Credits are not automatically restored merely because a generation is unsuccessful, incomplete, undesirable, or needs another attempt — except where legally required or where Webster expressly grants a refund.

Example display: 51.283 Credits AI.

Image generation

Each image generation uses 10 Credits.

Runtime usage

Database reads

1,000 Mongo/database reads use 1 Credit.

Database writes

100 Mongo/database writes use 3 Credits.

Database storage

1 GB of database storage per month uses 5 Credits.

Compute

300 GB-seconds of compute uses 1 Credit. This includes compute used while you work in the builder.

Example displays: 3.293 Credits compute; 0.427 Credits database.

Free actions

These actions currently do not consume Credits:

  • preview ensure (opening or keeping a preview session)
  • publishing
  • connector HTTP proxy

Static hosting remains included on every plan.

Expiry

  • Included Credits from your subscription expire at the end of the applicable billing period. Unused included Credits do not carry over.
  • Top-up Credits you purchase expire 12 months (365 days) after purchase.
  • Consumption order: Credits with the earliest expiry are used first — monthly included Credits, then Top-up Credits.
  • After a paid plan ends, Top-up Credits stay on the account until they expire, but using them for AI and other metered usage requires an active paid plan. Preview, publish, and the connector HTTP proxy currently do not consume Credits.

When the available Credit balance is exhausted, services that require Credits may pause until you top up or upgrade. Preview, publish, and the connector proxy stay available.

Billing dashboard

Open Account → Subscription & billing for your available Credits, Credits used, and usage by category (AI, images, database, compute). Totals may show decimals. That view is authoritative for what was actually measured.
